User can add Member to access team but record is read only

Posted on by 192

Hi

I got a problem a user which only has read access on a record of a custom entity can add another user to the access team on a record of said entity. With the access team the other users get read/write/append/append to privileges. The user only has the basic privileges you need to log into dynamics and red access on team, user and the custom entity project.

So why can he add other users to an access team which has more privileges than he himself? and he can't edit anything on the record except the access team.

regards

Manuel

Could you please confirm if the user is the owner of the record?

If you remove that user from access team then he/she can add members in team?

    Hi

The user only has read privileges on the record I checked it with this tool. But he still can add other members on the access team. He  only has a red role and his team doesn't have a security role

Please check Append and append to access of that user.

You can use tool suggested by Kokulan.

    Hi

If the user is only having Read access via Access Team template, it could be that the user is getting more permissions via an owner team they are part of or security role directly assigned to them.

You could use the following XrmToolBox plugin to check what access the user has to a particular record. Please see the screenshots below

You can also use the following plugin to check which roles a user/team has and also which users or team has a particular role assigned
