Hi team,
Is it possible to add a field as index which can contain duplicate values? We are having performance issues while searching in lookup.
Thanks,
Meet

Things have changed since these previous posts were written.... Version 9 of Dynamics 365 is a very different system to previous versions and indexes are created automatically as the database deems them appropriate....
I know this one is old, but I am wondering if you could provide som documentation on this? If I create a quick find field, publish customizations, but then remove the field, is CRM going to delete the index? I also found this blog post where a user is saying the first 20 attributes will get indexed. It would be nice with little documentation from Microsoft.

Hi,
You can add an index to a field in CRM Online by adding that column as a result in the Quick Find view. The column will get indexed to help with that view, and it'll help elsewhere.
Hope this helps! I'd appreciate if you'd mark this as Answering your question.
Thanks,
Aiden
