Hi,

We have need of two way data flow between D365CE and Oracle and doing a feasible study about implementation approach. The following are the candidates that we have come across

1. CDS Data Integrator (We think, this cannot be used since we have large set of data
2. Azure Data Factory Mapping Data Flows (No much idea)
3. Use third party SSIS toolkit (Ex: KingswaySoft)

I would like to know other approaches which can be considered and also suggestion on the best approach.

Thanks and Regards
Venkatesh G

Hi Vankatesh, with all three options you have listed, only the 2nd and 3rd options are worth looking into. CDS data integrator is not designed for complex integration, it is primarily designed around pre-defined templates, so there is little to no customization if you want the integration to happen in a specific way.

I am not too familiar with the 2nd option, but Oracle connection is never a simple thing to achieve. In addition, Azure Data Factory is still primitive in terms of working with complex integration scenarios.

The 3rd option gives you the ultimate flexibility (full disclosure - I work for KingswaySoft) and scalability. You do however need our SSIS Productivity Pack product in addition to our Dynamics 365 toolkit to achieve your purpose, as you will need our Premium ADO.NET components to facilitate the easy reading and writing of Oracle data. The out-of-box ADO.NET components have a lot of issues when connecting to Oracle data sources, and we offer many advanced options (such as Upsert, FullSync actions) that can be used to facilitate bidirectional writing.

You may get in touch with our team by reaching out to us at our online contact form, so someone from the team will get back to you. We are happy to address any further concerns that you may have.

    Hello,

I recommend to generate some Flat file from the CRM. Then push data periodically to your oracle DB.
