Hello community ,

I have a duplicate detection to implement but it depends on a picklist field A,   I mean :

If  A = 1 then ( the fields to check are A , B , C )

if A = 2 then ( the fields to check are A, B,D)

if A= 3 then ( the fields to check are A ,B, E )

I was wondring if it's possible to implement this in the duplicate detection rule or if it exist any workaround

Please Let me know  !!!!

Ps : I work on Dynamics crm on permise 2015

    There is limitation match code length 450 characters. You cant change it  , make sure you are doing check only those are under 450 characters.

    You can refer below thread -

    Thanks Goutam for the reply

    I get your point

    But here is an other issue when I am trying to implement your GREAT suggestion I got this error : the max code correspondence reached 568/450

    Do you have any Idea how to overcome this :

    I guess the first field (picklist field A) has much caracters when I remove it I got 312/450 but i need it as filter

    Hi Lamaye,

    You can not add IF-ELSE condition  in the duplicate detection rule. However you can create multiple rules instead of single rules .

    For example

    A= 1   B=3 C=5  -- First Rule

    A= 2   B=6 C=9  -- Second Rule

    Another option would be using plugin.

    Hope this helps.
