Scrap Code in Output Journal

Hello,

If I show the field Scrap Code on the Output Journal (by default it is Visible = false) and try to enter a scrap code for a routing line that got the type work center NAV throws an error that the line must be of the type Machine Center.

I cannot think of a reason why this would need to be. Because on the other hand I am allowed to enter a Scrap Quantity for lines with the type Work Center.

Do you have any idea, why it works how it works?

Thank you in advance!

On routing line, NAV copies the 'Scrap Factor %' and/or 'Fixed Scrap Quantity' from the same fields on the machine center card. There are not these fields on WC card. Automatic scrap functionality is possible to use only for MCs. You can read more about this in Mfg. manual.

    Hello Aleksandar,

Maybe only MCs have auto scrap functionality, but why not make it possible to have manual scrap? The scrap quantity field works fine for WCs. Just not possible to set the Scrap Code (reason) for the scrapping.

Makes no sense to me at the moment.

    Br,

    Henrik

As you said, you can post Scrap Quantity using WC, but you can not use a Scrap Code. Maybe, it has not sense, but system works as it. A Scrap Code can actually only be used for MC. Maybe MS can improve that in the future.
