Table Import for Class ID's

Hi, I am working on a test company trying to import Class ID's and Account Groupings. I was successful in the Class ID's but not the Account Groupings. I deleted the Class ID import to start over by going to Utilities>FA>Clear Data. Now, I am unable to even do the Class ID import. I checked all my choices i.e. "Source File Format" = Tab. My Excel import file is set up the same, no headers and columns formatted by Index=number, Class ID and Class Description=General. The first issue popped up when the Data Map Table looked weird....instead of (see first example), pastedimage1658151951114v3.pngI had (see second examplepastedimage1658151553160v1.pngpastedimage1658151883171v2.png

If anyone could give me the benefit of your expertise, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you

I tested the FA Class ID with table import and it worked for me.

    • on the left below, I put my data in a .CSV file (and viewed it with Notepad)

    • For the value in the first field, I used a value higher than the highest last used value in the FA CLass ID table (FA40201).  My table had used index values of 1-7, so I put '9' on my csv file.   (I see you have a value of '1', so be sure that has not already been used in the FA40201 class ID setup table.  Increment it to a value higher than has already been used.)

    • Then I went to Tools | Integrate | Table import and just mapped the first 3 fields (Shown below in middle) and clicked on IMPORT and it worked.  I can now see this new class in the FA40201 table.

Usually when invalid values appear as you asked about on the right, it means it can't read something.  Like if you map it to a CSV file and save it, and then go back into the import and switch it to TXT file, then the values on the right would be invalid and not display correctly anymore.   So the invalid values are due to you changing something where it can't read it anymore.

I hope this works for you to get new CLASS ID's importing in again.
