One of our customers is looking for On-premise to cloud migration of his D365 F&O Business Application with retail. Our challenge is their current F&O update is on 10.0.7. We are looking for an option to upgrade to the cloud with the latest version.

My query is, what is the standard migration approach for this type of scenario?

My Current 100% solution, which I feel is

Lift and shift the code and data from on-premise to cloud dev box.
Do a complete compilation and database synchronization.
Fix the Compilation and database synchronization to the stable cloud environment.
Work on the migration of retail SDK customization to commerce SDK.
Do regression testing.
Perform UAT with the customer
Go Live.

Guide me if you think this approach is wrong.
