Cluster picking creates packing Work order type works

Posted on by 50

When we use one of the Mobile device menu items which is for cluster picking it creates extra work from packing Work order type

The mobile device menu item query has been modified to not allow packing work to be picked up by a work cluster, but it still creates extra packing work.

Can anyone help me fix this?

Thanks in advance

What error do you get, when closing the container?

    Hi Raphael Volk,

    Thanks for your response.

We can't remove the entry since we use this functionality, and we can't ignore the work because it causes some issues while closing the container.

In this case, we are most concerned about the fact that the mobile device menu item query has been modified in such a way so that packing work cannot be picked up by a working cluster, but it still creates additional packing work without any LP.

With this function it is possible to push containers to a new Shipment.

In the back D365 FO uses the work type packing to organise this process.

The work type packing cannot be processed by a user.

If you do not use the function then you should delete the setting. If you use the function you can ignore the "system work type packing"

    Hello Navid,

can you check, if you have an entry in the packing station setup.

This should be the only setting that creates packing work.

    Hi Navid,

If the packing station is operating with a container packing policy with work creation, work will be created when the container is released as shown in the example below, where we are using a work template including staging.
