Updating record, providing lookup keys with power automate

Dear all,

I had an issue trying to update a record in dynamics 365 fin&ops. I need to provide dataAreaId, ItemId, INTDataAreaId and the INTPartition.

The dataAreaId i know, which is the compnay for which the update should take place
The ItemId i know, this is the item number which i have
However the following 2 I have no idea how to fill in. 

Does anyone know what INTDataAreaId and the INTPartition are and how I can find them?

    Hi I am sorry I primarily use power automate, so i am not very familiar with the dynamics terminology. What do you mean by a custom data entity?

    It's not sufficient to say that you're updating a record. It's important to know which kind of record you want. If F&O exposed tables directly, it would mean the table in from which you want to read the record (and update it later). In F&O, it's slightly different, because it hides actual tables behind so-called data entities. Entities provide a simpler schema and hide some implementation details of F&O, therefore they're easier and safer to use.

    Hi Bob,

    Are you using the Finance and Operations connector or the Dataverse connector in your Power Automate flow? As Martin asked, what is the entity name of the record you are trying to update?

    Note that the fields INTDataAreaId and INTPartition might be part of a customization.
