Landed Cost

We are currently trying to get up and running  using landed costs.  The only issue I am having is after I do an enter/match invoice and the go back to do a new PO the cost that it is pulling is the landed cost not the actual cost.  We had it working before but I can't seem to remember how we did it.  Any help would be much appreciated.

    RE: Landed Cost

    Hi Kara

The other thing to be aware of is the set up for Purchasing.

Tools --> Setup --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order Processing.

Under the Options button, you have the choice of where to get the Cost.  The Cost Selection options are:

    Vendor Last Originating Invoice Cost

    Item Current Cost

    Item Standard Cost

    Specified Cost

I would suggest yours may be set to current cost (which updates with the last cost layer).  You may want to try Vendor Last Originating Cost.

    Cheers

    Heather

    RE: Landed Cost

    Hi Kara,

Check Cards> inventory> landed costs: Revalue inventory for Cost variance. If marked, the inventory value of the item will be updated to include the landed cost amounts .

(you can see inventory values at inquiry> inventory> receipts). This will also go to the inventory and/or cogs account if sold.

If not marked, would use accrued purchases and would not update the inventory cost layer.

Accounts used during the invoicing process will also be different if Invoice Match is marked or unmarked.
