HI ,

I have this problem. For one of our customers the purchase orders are like deals they propose to their vendors.

So I need to include in the purchase orders very long text with clauses and subcluases. Are there any possibilties to manage  these text field in Navision? Or use SQL field out of Nav table and manage it in some way in Nav ?

Many thanks

You can make use of BigText variables.

Refer below link for more information:

You can use blog field to do that.

Check work description in Sales Header table in NAV 2017.

    Hi,

If you want to add long text to  Items in the  Purchase Line , You can use Extend Text functionality

Better Option use Comment to put this long text data . In comment you can put as many as text you want in multiple lines.

Use Extended Text Functionality or Comment Lines and then adjust your report to combine the lines to display.

Thanks for your answer, I try to explain better my needs:

When I  create my purchase order I have to create a kind of contract for my Vendor with clauses and subclauses. The contract that I'm going to create should comes from a "Master Contract" that forsees all the possible contract I can have with my vendors for different suppliers . So I need a Master Contract :  table  (cluases - long text) ( subclauses - long text ) and the possibilities when I create my new purchase order  to create a Contract for that purchase order ( table linked to the header of the PO ) selecting some of the lines of the master contract ( table). The fields of the tables (Master Contrat and Contract of the PO) have to be editable. Then I need to print the contract for each PO. Sorry for the long explanations , I hope I've bee clear

    Are there any solutions?

    Many thanks
