archive sales quote process

Is it possible NOT to archive sales quote automatically when using the ''make order'' process from Sales quote?

Hi Bitu,

On Sales & receivable setup in Archiving tab and in Archive Quotes choose option as "always ". After this once you convert Sales Quote to Order system will auto create Sales quote Archive.

Thanks a lot! This works but my question is how NOT to archive automatically…. If I set the Archiving to Never, will always archive anyway during the “make order” process.

Apparently does not work this way. Set to ‘Never’ will not archive sales quote if you delete the document. When creating a SOrder from ales quote using the ‘make order’ process, I have no way NOT to archive.

in that case, Question option will better work for you.

It will ask whether you want to Archive while deleting and converting to Order so you can say yes while deleting and no while converting.

Thanks a lot. I think I was unable to explain my request correctly…

I just want to understand if the automated archive process of sales quote when using the “make order” from SO process, can be avoided. I would like ALL sales quote to remain in the same location and NEVER get archived regardless if we use the “make order” process or not .

OK, do you mean the Sales Quote should not be archived and deleted? It should remain as Sales Quote after converting it to Order?
