Exporting Custom reports to PDF create blank pages...

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi all,

I'm creating custom reports in Visual Studio and setting the report paper size in Report Properties to A4 and ensuring the Body properties match etc.

The reports view fine in Dynamics 365 Online but when I export them to PDF they add a blank page after every page of data - like something is running over width but I can't see anything that would cause it to happen.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

Regards,

Tim Welch

    Hi Jennifer,

We are not using Financials so it appears to me that I have inadvertently posted in the wrong forum. Given that they are so badly named I expect this happens a lot.

    - We  are not printing the reports but simply viewing them after downloading from the reports area using the Save To.

    - This is not using an existing report but rather creating a report from scratch using the BIDS Report Server Project Wizard.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated as there appears to be a complete lack of documentation around custom reports and any that does exist seems to be based on older versions.

    Regards,

    Hello Tim,

I want to make sure you are in the correct Forums area so I have a few questions:

    - Where are you printing these custom reports?

    - Are you modifying an existing report, if so which one?

    - Are you using Dynamics 365 for Financials?

    Regards,

    Jennifer Reinhardt
