automatically default posting groups when a new account is created in financials

Hi, 

In D365 for financials, is it possible to automatically set up a default posting groups when a new account is created in financials instead of having to choose the posting groups manually.

    Yes there is. Look for Set up Items/Customers/Vendor templates in Financials.

    If by account you are referring to customer here, you can define a set of customer templates which will be presented to you when creating new customer. The templates contain posting groups setting, so depending on which template you select, posting groups will be defaulted from selected template.

    For examples, look at evaluation (CRONUS) company and templates created for items, customers and vendors.

    If by account you are referring to general ledger account, you can't do that.
