How to purchase Dynamics AX 2012 additional license

Currently we are using AX 2009 - 5 user license

Microsoft has upgrade our license to AX 2012 as per the below count.

Self Serve User CAL =1

Functional User CAL=2

Enterprise User CAL=4

AX Server=1

Since we are going to deploy AX 2012 with more features and functions, we may need more license. I would like to know the price for additional license?

You have to contact your partner or find a partner in your region. The partner can help you with pricing in the local currency.

Thanks for your reply.

Our local partner told us that we can't buy AX 2012 license anymore and we should buy Dynamics 365

I would like to know prices in any currently just to understand and budget the project.

Hi AhamedK,

When the license will be upgraded, you are allowed to run it on one version below as far as I understood. But check it with your partner.

The cost depends on many things. There are price list prices, but depending on your customer's agreement with Microsoft, the real price can be quite different. So you must inquire this from Microsoft or the license provider.

Hi,

you have to ask your official assigned partner for prices of additional users or aos instances.

I think your current local partner is not right or he misunderstood your question.

You can't buy new licenses (means new license holder/licenseno) of Ax2012 (for a new customer) any more. But you seem to have a current valid Ax2012 license according to your description, if MS has updared them, maybe accordind to a service plan)

So it should be possible (as current user or customer of Ax2012) - but you simply don't use it currently - to order more users or aos instances (the codes for these entries)

So you should be able to get (download) the license file and extend some users.

I think this are not new licenses, simply changed codes for some entries with a counting behind it.

I'm really not sure, but to my opinion you still can buy additional codes for an existing license.

Can you please recheck with your partner and/or MS directly.
