    Hi Diwakar,

As you are mention about Item Journal possible you are talking about Items. You can define Default Dimension value on Item card. So in system anywhere, when you making transaction with that Item system will autofill dimension value for that Item.

    Hope this will help.

    Many Thanks,

As Manan mentions you should use default dimensions to fill your business need. Here is a link to the product documentation around setting up dimensions and default dimensions.

    Hi Diwakar

To Auto Populate the Dimension Value, you need to tagged the Dimension Value at Item Card Level.

Similarly, If you want to make this Dimension mandatory or using the same which you have assign at Item Card you can use Value Posting.

As for this, I have taken Value Posting as Code Mandatory, So System will not allow to  post the Item Journal If my Department Code Dimension is blank.

At Item Journal you will get by default value which you have tagged at Item Card level.

    Hi, just adding two points.

    Default Dimension Priorities (Avoiding conflicts)

    https://yzhums.com/23962/

More control over settings for Default Dimensions (Allowed Values Filter)

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.
