Dear All

Could you please let me know the creation of New label are same in Dynamics 365 and AX 2012 R3.

Where label files are stored? And how to take backup of label files.

Please give me more shed on this.

Hi @rp@n,

Please refer to this blog post askmeonthis.blogspot.co.nz/.../label-creation-in-ax-7.html it shows how to create new label file and add new label.

In current version labels are stored in label files. To backup them you can simple copy file, however, better option is to use version control system.

The files are in [C:/J:/K:]/AosService/PackagesLocalDirectory/[YourPackage]/[YourModel]/AxLabelFile/LabelResources/[Language] folder.

However you should not need to back up the label files, instead use the version control for that. If you don't use version control you risk having serious issues in your project.

Means if I using VSTS ,then no need worry about Label files backup. It will automatically take care by VSTS

Yes, VSTS will take care of all the objects you check in. Including the label files.
