
I'm rather new to CRM and am working on optimizing it for my company. One thing I'm wondering about are the indexes. The ActivityPointerBase table has 48 of them, and many are not needed for our purposes. Is it permissible (or event recommended) to remove Microsoft-created indexes from CRM? Saving new entries is slow enough without having to updated 48 indexes.
Is adding indexes allowed recommended?

For Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 on-premises, adding indexes is supported per the guidelines in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Implementation Guide.
