Lease adjustments and lease book adjustments

Hi, 

Can anybody explain when a lease should be adjusted from the lease itself and when should it be adjusted from the books?

    Pls follow the steps to test this.  and from my experience it should copy lease first and then adjust via Adjustment wizard.
