Problem with Citrix printing / page orientation

Hello,

Something has happened with network settings and after that ONE AX user can't print sales invoice report in portrait orientation anymore...it's always printed as landscape. This is strange, because it only involves one user. I have tried to print myself and report is printed normally. User also receives error message when report is printed on screen:"OpenPrinter_1:rc:0 lastError:1801(0x709) The Printer name is invalid". I have cleared user's usage data, but that didn't help either.

    Hi Migi,

Suggestion:  In the Printer setup form, options tab.  What is the orientation set to for this specific user?

Suggestion:  In the Printer setup form, general tab > Properties button > Layout tab, what is the orientation set to there for this specific user?

    Hi,

I just got a  message that report works now. Nobody knows how it's fixed.

Hi, I just got information that the problem has come back. I deleted usage data - again without a luck. Any other ideas?

    And to asnwer Kent,

I can't enter printer's setup, because it requires administrator rights, but I don't think it's the answer since it works for other users using the same printer.

    Hi Migi,

I have seen times where the Citrix Receiver has caused the strangest issues, you created the user a new Citrix Profile?

Are other users able to print the report with no issues?

Is it possible to have the user try a diffrent PC to rule out Citrix Receiver

What happens if you copy the users account and rename the account i.e Test1 and try printing.

Are you using Citrix Universal Printer to print?

Is the printer Networked or locally attached?

    Thanks,

    Hi craeme,

Other users are printing just fine and the printer is network printer. I will ask user to try on different PC. By copying the user you mean....in AD or in AX?

    Hi Migi,

Sorry, Copy AD call it i.e Print.Test, and link AX to it.

I have also seen times where local Print Driver has caused issues like this, if you could check that it is the same as other users.

Also check that the users "Default Printer" on the local machine is set to a printer rather than i.e "Microsoft XPS Document Viewer".

I have an issue printing with Citrix,

when I print an invoice these random black boxes show up over the signatures, so you can't see them. How do I fix this???
