Type Incompatibility After Update

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We recently ran the year end update for 2014 on our dynamics gp 2013 system and are now getting an error message when running the inquiry -> Purchasing -> Budget vs Actual Committed.  After selecting and account and choosing a period and clicking on the Committed link we get the error message "Type incompatibility 'lYear'."  I am not sure how to fix this.  Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Was a solution ever found for this? We are encountering the same issue in our environment.

Babu and Redbeard, thank you for taking the time to try to help assist me with this.

    Take care.

I would be inclined to recommend engaging Microsoft Technical Support on this issue.

    Hi Jim,

Please make a backup before doing the steps from the following link regarding running SQL script to fix the compatibility level.

We cannot re-import the budget at this time.  I did run the checklink against the company period setup and no errors were found when I ran that.

    Hi Jim,

Can you re-import a brand new budget and try this again.  Also did you run the check link against company period setup

Babu,  I ran the checklink and one error was found on the Series-Financial-Budget Master that was repaired but I still get the same error.  I restarted GP but that did not help.

    Hi,

    Try to run checklink for

    1) Series-Company-Period Setup

    2) Series-Financial-Budget Master

Microsoft Dynamics GP menu >> Maintenance >> Check Links

Please take a backup before running the above.

    Thanks Redbeard and Babu,

I was able to get into the VB Editor but when I checked the references the Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.7 Library was already unchecked.  Any other ideas?
