Is it possible to add a BPF to existing records?

Hey all,

is it possible to add a BPF to existing records?

To be more detailed...I have rebuilt en entity in another entity (forms, fields, bpf, ...).

Records that were created before this action, especially before creating the bpf don't have this bpf which also means they do not have a value in the field processid.

Would it be possible to simply set the GUID of my bpf to the old records to have the bpf enabled there?

If yes, how can I achieve that :-)?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

I f I understood this correctly, you have created a BPF for an entity which this is working fine(getting applied automatically) for new records but not for existing records. You now wants to add the same BPF to existing record.

BPF is nothing but a special entity, when you apply the BPF the record is created for this entity. All you need to do is create a record for the BPF entity for the existing records. This can be done easily by a workflow. So, create a real time workflow to trigger it on your main entity ( say account) and then within the workflow create a record for your BPF entity. Under the properties, you can select the default stage and associate it with the your main entity (say account).

Once done, select the records of your main entity (say account) and run this workflow. When you open the record after this, you will see that the BPF is applied on the record.

    Hope this helps.
