How do automatically assign dimensions values to a job

Hi,

I am trying to find a way to automatically assign dimension values based on the Job. This is to automate all transaction that are posted for the job, but especially for timesheets. if I have a dimension value set for Each job, which is nothing but the job no itself, how can I automatically put this as the dimension value when posting the job ledger.

    I found a way: as long as the job tasks have dimensions assigned to them single or multiple then the dimensions will be assigned to transaction that are associated to the tasks. But they need to be assigned before the transactions are posted. I added dimensions to the job task, and job. One of the job, I assigned one dimension and another one I assigned two. After that I created Job ledger entries via timesheet to those task and the dimensions were populated based on what was assigned to the task. Microsoft should update their documentation to make this functionality easier to find.
