Hello, our company is located in CA and we have also a branch in OH.  When I print the w-2 it all come as one, and I would like to separate the two states w-2.  One file for CA and one file for OH.  Can anyone help to separate or run w-2 process separately? Thanks

Terry, thanks for the information.  I assume we have to separate the files for each state, 2014 was the first time for our company filling taxes for OH and out state and when I called OH they told us that we only have to provide the OH information.  But on the website it said they accept the  EFW2 file.  Good to know for the next time.  Again, thanks so much for the information, very helpful.

    Hi
The Microsoft Dynamics GP file is created in the federal format, MMREF-1 or EFW2 file format.  It will combine it all together and you send it to each state.  If the states accepts this format (should state on their site)  then it will be fine.  If you need state specific electronic filing, I would reach out to Greenshades.  I have not heard of a state rejecting our file because of it, the only reason would be they do not accept this federal format.  If you start to seperate their are total lines in the header and footer that would need to be changed.
