Hi,
I've been recently searching for ways to see who exported data from our Dynamics 365 Instance (Cloud) but have had no success, I was able to see some topics here which said that there was no OOB way to do it and a plugin would be needed, just checking if this is still the case now (2020)? Or if anyone has any workaround or solution that they were able to use to see who has exported anything from Dynamics 365? Thanks
Hi Jimmar,
You can control using Security roles. Remove the "Export to Excel" and the "Print" privilege.
Log into Dynamics 365, go to Settings > Security, and select Security Roles. One you open the security role, go over to the Business Management tab
Scroll to the Privacy Related Privileges section. Ensure that the Export to Excel and Print options are disable
You can create a single Security Role specifically for Exporting and can assign user to that role, that way you will be able to identify the users exporting data.
Hope this helps
