Hello,

I need to block one user from being able to change the owner of cases and accounts. I'm sure it's a simple thing but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have the same question (0)

Also check roles of teams to which user belongs to.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your help.

The user has the following security roles assigned...

    Account manager

    Sales Manager

    Salesperson

All privileges are disabled for Account and Case on the Sales manager and Salesperson security roles.

The Account manager has all privileges set to user on both account and case except from 'Assign' which is set to none.

I have tested however, the user is still able to change the users on both Cases and Accounts.

I need the user to be able to view and create the cases but not be able to change the owners.

Do I need to wait some time for it to update?

    Many thanks.

    K

Does the user need to see all case and account records? Have you tried updating the "Assign" setting for the Cases and Accounts?

    docs.microsoft.com/.../security-roles-privileges

The "Assign" setting is defined as: "Required to give ownership of a record to another user. Which records can be assigned depends on the access level of the permission defined in your security role."

    Hello,

Give him security role with "User" level of privileges for "Account" and "Case" entities. Check this post - crmbook.powerobjects.com/.../
