Hi All,

Need Urgent Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Created a User in D365. User is not having System Admin rights, Access mode (CAL) is to read-write.

I am getting an error "You do not have sufficient privileges to view this chart. Contact your system administrator." when clicking on Sales dashboard for Views, and another error when clicked on Custom Entity is "You do not have permission to access these records. Contact your Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator."

If I grant System Administrator role to this user then everything is fine.

Please help me to find out the Privileges or security roles that I am missing here.

    Hi,

First, If they have a license and not a read/write, they will only get to manage the structure of the CRM system, not the data.

Secondly, If user do not have enough privilege to view the data, you will encounter this issue as well.

This could be another reason :https://nishantrana.me/2013/03/25/you-do-not-have-sufficient-privileges-to-view-this-chart-contact-your-system-administrator-in-crm-2011/

    Hi ,

Seems you have problem with security role .

    You can check following.

    1. How you have created the security role ? It has recommended always you create new security role by copying from existing security role.

2 .Try with giving full access whether it's working with full access.

    3. Is the security role works for other entits? If it's correct then you are missing some special privileges like connection, reports etc . Let me know required information further analysis.

Mark it as answer if it helps.

    Thanks

    Goutam

This seems like it is a privilege issue.

In every location that you are receiving this error, check the rights for the entity in the security role that is assigned to the user.

If the user security role does not have the correct privilege to that entity, you will be seeing this message.

This is a "trial and error" kind of scenario, as you do not want to give user too much access.

Best way is to have two browser sessions open (different browsers, or regular session and private session), and test feature while you are changing the security privileges for that user.

    Hope this helps.

Check your user's security role first and then provide them privileges under 'custom entities' tab; here's a good article to understand security roles in crm crmbook.powerobjects.com/.../security-roles

    Hello Goutam

Realise this is an old issue but I have something similar that is not to do with privileges in security roles (as far as I can ascertain).

I have created a new custom entity "Group Activity Memberships", and updated the affected security roles accordingly. I have created a sub-grid in the Contact table to display the records from the new entity, so there is a new one to many referential relationship between the Group Activity Membership and the Contact (Contacts may have more than one membership).

There is also another entity "Group Activity" that also has a one to many referential relationship between the Group Activity Membership and the Group Activity.

I am the System Administrator so had not expected to receive the "You do not have permission to access these records. Contact your Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator." message.

Have you any thoughts on this as to how I might find the problem?

    many thanks

    Chris
