Load line cannot be deleted because there is work associated to it for a PURCHASE ORDER

Hi Community Champs,

Scenario: For Purchase orders, Load creation is enabled as automatic when PO line is added.

When a PO Receive and Put away work is completed for this line status is REGISTERED and work is CLOSED.

Now, in my case entire PO line added was incorrect and requirement was to remove PO line. Hence, Stock was moved back from Put Location to Original Pick location(RECV) using same license plate which allowed item registeration to be removed and status changed to ORDERED.

Now, when trying to remove/delete Load associated with PO line it gives error /Load line cannot be deleted because there is work associated to it/. Apparently system is still checking that Work is Closed.

Reduce Picked qty function on Shipment ID to delete Load lines wont work as it is meant only for OUTBOUND ORDERS.

Does any one know if this is a known issue or any setup/step is missed by myself or any workaround available?

Hi Gaurav,

Based on the problem you described, it seems that when you try to delete a load that is associated with a purchase order line, the system reports an error: "The load line cannot be deleted because there is related work". I found the forum previous post for you. It describes how to reduce pick the shipment lines to 0 you can delete the load lines and then delete the load and shipment. Thanks for the reply.

Reduce Pick qty wont work as it is for Outbound order like SO, TO.

Since this is a PO, it doesnt allow to reduce picked qty.

Hello Gaurav,

Could you try to cancel the purchase order work with the feature 'Cancel work'?

After the cancellation of the work it should be possible to remove the load.
