Hi All,

I have an issue in counting journals when the date is changed the on-hand value calculated in the journal is incorrect and differs from the physical inventory by dimension report on the same date.

This issue is in one warehouse for multiple items.

i ran consistency check but still having the same issue.

    Hi Ahmed,

What exact parameters did you use when creating the counting journal? Could it be related to a date or storage dimension?

    Hi

Are you hoping that you can ask the Count journal to use the on-hand quantity from a date in the past? I don't think that is possible.

    Hi Ahmed,

Like mentioned already by Guy, why you do want to start a counting journal in the past? It is usually used to count as of a certain moment which is current. How do you know what to count from the past? The counting date will be used for the posting date of the journal lines.

Probably you have details in e.g. an Excel sheet with on-hand information as counted end of last year. In that case, you can look at the on-hand of last year and calculate the differences. Then you can use a profit/loss journal to post the differences.
