Human resources Module implementation in Ax 2012 r3

Hello,

I am currently implementing the Human resources module in ax 2012 R3. Besides the main configurations necessary, my question is regarding the clock in and clock out of the employees.

According to my knowledge you need to integrate your system with a third party tool then the information is entered in Ax.

My question is : Is it possible to enter it directly to Ax ? Is there any possibility that the clock in and clock out information is manually entered for each employee without creating Ax user for each employee?

Thanks in advance

Sort of e.g. via shop floor control, or via pos log on and off or via project timesheets but usually its done via integration to a T@A system. You could e.g dat import timesheets

    Thanks for the reply

What Im required to accomplish is quite basic. Basically the employees will have their Badge id and will clock in and clock out. How is it possible to transfer the information to a journal for modification without using an integration?

To which journal you want to pass the information ?

In principle clock in and out tells you little - did someone come in on holiday was he late or did he change shifts, did he go out in his meal break or  go home early, or did he work overtime or spend time charting in the canteen at the end of a shift  - etc. Typically you need T@A software to hold a calendar of scheduled hours/holidays, and to record actual hours, overtime holidays, different types of absence etc..

Raw clock in and out times will generally not be sufficient to drive e.g. a payroll  or overtime or scheduling  system, without some review/adjustment approval. Simplistically you can do that in Excel and then do whatever upload you want - but to which journal and what you will then do with the information is unclear.

Most payroll add on modules will cater for this. Other factors are: how many employees, how many shift patterns, how fast and how often do you need to update the system, and what do you want o do with the data and so on.

The standard Ax payroll module may have features you can use but I am not familar with it we chose to develop our payroll module for the region. However there is still a need for a T@A system to intelligently feed a payroll system with actual, data, correctly identified as to its purpose/meaning,

If all you wan is to record attendance then all you need do is record absence of those who do not clock in.

    Hello Sukrut,

This part is quite unclear to me. I guess it maybe its through Human resources>Common>Time and attendance>Approve ? If not could you suggest me a proper way ?
