Updating a lead attribute based on email activity - workflow?

Hello,

We're trying to update an attribute on the Lead Entity based on an email activity.

Essentially, we have a field named "Replied" on the lead entity that is Y or N. An email within CRM is sent from the lead entity to a receipient and is tracked. When the recipient replies to that email, it is tracked into the CRM lead as history. We would like the the "Replied" field to be updated to "Y" whenever a reply of the email is tracked. How can this be done? Workflow? We tried creating the workflow from the lead entity but cannot find any related entity for activities.

Please advise.

    You'll want to create the workflow on the E-mail entity and check Record Created.  You'll add a check condition to the workflow to check the Regarding field of the E-mail and see if it is a Lead record.  If it is a Lead record then check the Regarding Lead field 'Replied To' and if it is not already set to Y, then set it.  If needed, you can use a child workflow to update the Lead record.

    Hi Donna,

    Thanks for the tip. It works. I created the workflow with email as primary entity. The check condition was to check the subject line containing "RE:". the next step was to update the "replied" field = "Yes".
