We have Dynamics CRM 2016 on Premise and Sharepoint 2013 Founation. If we install Office Online Server, will it it possible to view and edit Word documents which are attached to Accounts in a browser?

Yes, Office Online Server, previously known as Office Web Apps, is an Office server product that delivers browser-based versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. So you should be able to open attached documents in Accounts.

I installed Office Online Server. I could open browser-based version of Word at Sharepoint page, but I couldn't do the same at Account page in Dynamics. When I click on file link, it is saved in Download folder.

    Hi

Could you please make sure you have done these two types of default behavior configurations?

    01.

For the SharePoint 2013 farm   You can adjust the default open behavior on a per-file-type basis for the SharePoint 2013 farm by using the New-SPWOPIBinding and Set-SPWOPIBinding Windows PowerShell cmdlets. These cmdlets can also be used to adjust the behavior of PDF documents.

    02. Set the OpenInClient feature for site collections

In the SharePoint site collection, choose the Settings icon > Site Settings.

On the Site Settings page, under Site Collection Administration, choose Site Collection Features.

On the Features page, for the Open Documents in Client Applications by Default feature, choose Activate to enable the OpenInClient feature (documents will open in the client application), or Deactivate to disable the OpenInClient feature (documents will open in the browser).

Kokulan, you recomendations didn't help. However, I have this issue only in Chrome. But if I click "Open in Sharepoint" button, Sharepoint page opens where I can edit documents.

I don't have this issue in IE.
