Transfer order using advanced warehouse (WMS)

Hello guys,

I'm using microsoft dynamics Ax 2012 R3.

i was using non advanced warehouse and know want to use advanced warehouse (WMS), so i have to do an inventory and after that transfer all items to the new advanced warehouse.

warehouse A : non advanced warehouse

warehouse B : advanced warehouse

is there any solution to process transfer order from warehouse A to warehouse B without using mobile device in reception.

I want to make a mass transfer: several items at the same time after the inventory and i have to keep my the cost (from warehouse A to B)

Hi Hedi,

For sure, you have to test the scenario in a test environment first. You can try to use a transfer journal. Possibly with help from a developer, you can create an x++ script to fill the inventory transfer journal lines based on the current on-hand in warehouse A.

Hi Hedi,

I tried this in D365 and it works good (Transferred from non-wax warehouse to wax warehouse) and it worked fine. Things to take care of...

item was advanced warehouse controlled, shipping is not an issue at all (just works regular). For receiving, my location was LP controlled so i clicked on registration, entered license plate and registered the item in AX. then posted receiving of transfer order and it works good. No issues at all. I will try to put together a video on same topic.

As Andre mentioned, if you just need to transfer then use transfer journal instead. Use transfer order only if you need to physically ship products etc.

Hi,

I hope your Items are already enabled for Warehouse management processes!

You can receive the Transfer order in the Warehouse B using the Arrival overview -> Start arrival -> Item arrival journal method.

This help is for F&O, but I don't expect it changed much.

Hello Satish,

First, thanks for the video,

I see that when i receive the order, locatiol is receving location and not picking or bulk location,

so after that i have to store the product in the rack. this process wil be with mobile device ?

what i mean that i want to have all my products stored in their locations with licence plate.

Hope it's clear and sorry for bothering, i'm new unsing wms in dynamics Ax
