Dynamics SL 2015 CU1 - Issue with part substitution in Sales order Entry

Hi,

Consider the scenario where you have an obsolete part number (ex. 45B-775-S001) and a valid active inventory ID (ex. S-HCF15084072E1) crossed reference defined in the Item Cross Reference. Further the obsolete part 45B-775-S001 is not defined in the inventory item (10.250.00)

In standard mode on Dynamics – SL 7.0 Feature Pack 1 when entering the obsolete part 45B-775-S001 into the Sales Order Entry screen (40.100.00) and tabbing off the inventory ID field the value would automatically flip to the current part (ex. S-HCF15084072E1).

In standard mode on Dynamics – SL 2015 CU1 the system throws a System Message 9, Item not found, please renter.

Is there any setup that can we recreate the behavior of Dynamics – SL 7.0 Feature Pack 1 in the Dynamics – SL 2015 CU1?
