Populate 2 fields based on a text field.

Posted on by 150

I have a text field called account owner, I would like to copy the value in that field to the "account executive" and "account manager" fields.  Is there an easy way to edit these fields?  It would have to touch every account in the system.

Create a workflow that copies the value as an On-Demand workflow.  Then, depending on the number of accounts in your system, you can either run the workflow against all of your accounts from a view of those accounts (max 250 at a time), or via the Bulk Workflow Execution plugin for XRM Tool Box.
