What does the PM Master Triggers in PSTL do? We have a client that when they add a vendor in one company the want the same vendor to be added to their other company. I could set up an insert trigger to accomplish but I was wondering if this may be helpful.
Thanks for the heads up. I will be deploying this later today and will check.
Richard,
As Derek explained, the PSTL master triggers already take care of all the replication for the GL, Vendors & Customers tables.. However, I recently used it on a GP 2010 customer that wanted to replicate Customer Cards from an existing company to a new company, knowing that wanted only a few ones replicated.
So they "visited" the Customer cards in company A and hit save, which created the cards in Company B, but we realized that the underlying "Address" table doesn't get replicated, so you may wanna make sure that's taken care of.. this might be a bug in the old PSTL 2010, so check if that was fixed.
I will have to try this. I think what it does is it creates the trigger and I have to insert the code. I am wrong. I just read the one page description. It will do the insert as well. I will give this a try.
According to the ProfServicesToolsLibrary.pdf document, the PM Master Record Triggers allows you to "add a vendor and vendor address master record and replicate records to another database on the same server. You can also choose to replicate these records to some or all of your companies".
Sounds like it may do what you're needing........
Thanks
