Cost not get updated after running Inventory Recalculation

Hi All,

I am going through below scenario.

For one new Item Number, Sales Order created and it got invoiced before ending Production Order. So cost was not updated to Ledger accounts. After ending Production Order,We ran Inventory recalculation. But the problem is still there. Will Inventory Recalculation solve the issue? or any other solutions?

It would be great if somebody can help me to sort it out.

Regards,

Work

    Hi workkb,

Has the production order been ended in the meantime?

Are items sold in the sales order the ones produced in the production order, i.e. is there a linkage between both?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

    Thanks for your quick response.

Production order has been ended before Inventory Recalculation.

Yes, the items sold in the sales order are the ones produced in the production order . There is no linkage. As the item used in Sales order was newly created, unit price or cost amount will update only after any one transaction ( For eg : Purchase Order or Production Order etc..).

While invoicing Sales order, unit price or cost amount was not updated in the system, So it is not reflecting in the Cost Ledger Accounts.

    Regards,

    Work

    Hi workkb,

I would expect that the missing cost prices and the cost amount posted for the sales order is updated with the inventory recalcualtion.

Have you already run it for this item?

It should not take very long if it is a newly created item with only a handful of inventory transactions.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
