Hello Folks,

We have originally used Finance consultant help with D365 initial deployment in our firm.  now that the Production environment is running for few years.  we realized we would like to customize some modules, reports, and etc. which needs to be developed.

Also we are due to update Treasury automation suite software to pursue more of their features in D365.  so i need some understanding and help with doing it without seeking third party consultancy.  Please advise on the below.

1)  what are the requirements needed  to Build D365 RSAT VM Lab ?  like system requirements , cost etc.

2) . D365 F&O Tier 1 DEV environment -How can i connect existing TAS software to Development - is there any documentation available from MS ?

3) How can i connect D365 DEVELOPMENT  environment  to DevOps source control ?

4) what should be expected for Regression testing ?  is it doable from scratch ?

Please advise with any information you may have -  simple and easy way to understand this.  Thank you :)

    Hi Dynmaics 365 Community,

I will try to provide some links and answers for your questions:

    1) You can find documentation and pre-requisites in the documentation: Regression suite automation tool (RSAT) - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs

To use Azure DevOps Test plans, there is a license cost involved: Azure DevOps Services Pricing | Microsoft Azure

2+3) This has the same answer. I do hope you have the source control for your current customizations. You can find documentation here: Set up new environments, Azure DevOps, and branches for projects - Commerce | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs

    4) You can start from scratch. It would require defining test cases and record them using the task recorder. For more information, see the documentation and linked documents as shared on question 1.
