Alerts and Notifications -Differences

Hi Experts,

I'ld like to know the difference between alerts and notifcations in AX2012 R3.

Also in which scenarios/circumstances do we use Alerts and Notifications.

Please guide me to walkthrough the basic differences and also kindly share some blogs defining the differences.

    Hi Seenu,

    Notifications are usually based on e.g. workflow setup or batch job results. Alerts is a feature where you can setup to give a notification based on a record event. E.g. alert when a vendor bank account haa been created or updated.
