so when you have records open - you have to click on the main opportunity record :
it will open the record and you can edit things there :
this is the only option you can try.

you cannot edit records directly in the report - once you click on the graph/chart - it will open the corresponding records - once you click on the record , it will then open the record & there you can edit it and save it which will reflect back in the report.
apart from filter and layout , i am afraid there is a way.

Hi , I am not sure if i understood you correctly - do you mean modifying the report or actually editing the record in the report?
