Default today's date in the Date picker

Good morning,

I should default today's date in date picker(a date edit control extending transdate EDT) unbound control on the form.  I tried to achieve the desired result using display method and edit method but no luck. is there any better way to do?

Any help is appreciated,

    Well, if you bound it to a method, it wouldn't be an unbound control anymore. :-)

    If you want allow users to change the value, a display method is of no use. You could use an edit method, but there is an easier way: set AutoDeclaration property of the control to use and then set it's value via dateValue() method. You can get the current date by calling today() method, for example.

    Thank you much for responding quickly,

    Yeah I tried edit method, it is defaulting today date to the control but it was not letting to edit the date using the calendar control.  

    Anyway i will try your way by using the dateValue() method and let you know the results.
