Hi,

We have decided to use the order processor role as a base role for everyone (including Finance). How can I add certain function to the Navigation Pane that are not there as an Order Processor by default? i.e. how can i add the Payment Journal in the Navigation Pane on the Order Processor role?

At the moment i can only add it to the ribbon which is not what we want.

    Hi,

In the Navigation Pane you can only add list type pages and from the Customise Navigation Pane window you can only add pages that are available in the departments menu. The payment journal is a worksheet type page.

I think the best solution is to add it to the ribbon but you can also ask your partner to add the "General Journal Batches" page to the navigation pane for you in the development environment and filter the view to Journal Template Name = 'Payment' so you could see a view like this when you click on the menu item:paymentjournalbatches.png

    Hi Marcellus,

That's just the thing though, under the Order Processor Role, I am unable to add the Payment Journal list on my navigation pane it only allows me to add it to the Ribbon. Under the Bookkeeper Role it's there as a Navigation Pane list?

How can I get it to show up as a list in the Order Processor Role?

    HI CILGroup,

The only way to add it is by doing a small development that I described in my previous answer.

You can see it in the bookkeeper role centre because that action was included in the page object during development.

    CILGroup ,

users can add by them self this by going Payment Journal ==> navigation pane ==> right click ==> add to navigation pane

if you need to add it by globally , small customization required
