Hello,

Does anyone worked on multisite implementation with different localizations in a single instance? That is, we need US and India in a single instance with their respective localizations. How can it be achived?

Thanks in advance!

Hari

    Hi John,

Just got your email now. Can't answer you because I don't know!

I'll have to sit down and have a look at it over the weekend. Talk to you soon.

    Ian.

Did you find out the answer to your question.  I am looking at bringing on another site and was wondering what the best practice is for this.  Should all data be accessed remotely via terminal server or is some sort of replication setup on both ends with a sql server and dynamics server on both ends?  Thank you.

    John.

    Re: Re: Multisite Localization

Hi, I have installed a US GP application on one workstation and installed a UK & Ireland install of GP on the server. Both point to a single instance of SQL. Both 'localised' GP installations work fine sharing the single MSSQL database. So far I have created all companies using just the one install...which is the install on the server itself.

Does anyone have any comments on this? Any surprises waiting to bite me?

I'm also interested in this. Recently one client who has companies in both Ireland and the US wanted all on a single instance. So far we have just set up a different date format by editing the dex.ini file. Also, MS are considering making all Dynamics GP modules available worldwide, so that it won't matter (from a functionality) viewpoint, which local install you use. Perhaps others have heard about this? or can someone from MS confirm?
