Cross reference not working for Table Fields

I have been trying to find the usage of a particular Field in a table using cross reference. I right clicked the field and clicked on Addins -> CrossReference -> Using. There was no action.

Any one faced similar issue? is this by design?

    Did you generated cross-references? In AX2012, for example, open the development workspace and go to Tools > Cross-reference > Periodic > Update.

    Yes, I did... the cross reference is working when I use it for the Table. Not working when I use it for a field in the same table :(

    Also be sure that the update was run for all elements - the update may be configured to skip table fields, for example.

    The behavior you see is definitely not by design - either there are no references that can be identified by compiler, or the update fails by some reason.
