Dynamics Data Importing Help

Just recently started using Dynamics 365 and noticed the import tool does not work very well.

We use PCA predict which is an address lookup software that populates clean addresses during data entry and also we have a number of lookup fields. Therefore when i tried to import some of the fields Contacts/addresses I keep receiving errors due to the lookup fields.

Could anyone suggest what to do, or is there a reasonable tool to buy to assist with these imports as we have alot of data from third parties sent via CSV files that need to be imported into the CRM on a daily basis.

    Hi r4vvm,

I regularly use SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) with the KingwaySoft SSIS Integration Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for professional data migration and integration work. I highly recommend this as an option for importing large amounts of data.

    Hi,

Is that a user friendly tool? I will not need to do masses of imports maybe around 2K max contact records at least once a month. But i need to be able to match contacts from the CSV files I have and update where necessary as some contact may already be in the CRM.

That is using the standard import tool to which i have already said will not work

    Hi r4vvm,

That depends on your perception of a user friendly tool. The target audience for SSIS is developers, but it is capable of importing new records and updating existing records.

Can you tell me how to do this via SSIS.

Also will it allow me to match record from my spreadsheet to contacts in CRM?

    Hi r4vvm,

SSIS can match contacts in a spreadsheet to contacts in CRM, assuming that the spreadsheet is in a good format.

Watch this video to learn how to use the SSIS Integration Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM.
