what counts towards your quota.

Hello community,

Microsoft don't make it easy to understand what counts towards your quota.

I have inactive contacts in my system which i thought would be excluded from segments as they are not active, it seems they pull through on segments unless i explicitly exclude them in my query. This makes no sense as the inactive records were always excluded from every part of the sales system by default.

I also have people without emails and contacts who have opted-out of marketing, these also seem to pull into segments unless i again explicitly exclude them. I understand that no, email contacts wont receive emails and opt-outs will be respected, however its is unclear if these count towards my quota.

I looked into suppression segments as a workaround, but from what i read this still count towards my quota even though they are suppressed.

Any assistance with my query much appreciated.
