How to prevent Save and Close Operation in Javascript

Hello,

We are trying to validate the rows in subgrid, before saving a record. Javascript code is working when clicked on save button, however we are unable to prevent the close of window operation. Can anyone provide some insights on how we can prevent the close operation?

Calling function to ignore save : context.getEventArgs().preventDefault();

Do you mean just "Close" or "Save and Close"? For "Save and Close" this code works fine. Unfortunately you can't handle scenario when user just closes form.

I mean save and close. The code is preventing the save, but not the close operation. Seems like code is not preventing close operation from 2013 sp1.
