I am trying to import an EFT File Format that was exported out of a test company but I get the error "The import file is missing or not valid. Please select a valid import file." I've also gotten the following error "A get/change operation on table cmEFTFormatHdr failed. A record was already locked." I also cannot import this file into the test company either.

Your are getting this issue because of the Format ID which you have tried to import from test company is already available in live company.

To resolve this, only enter a new format ID in live company(This format ID should not available in live company) and then try to import the sample EFT format from test to live company.

Just wanted to chime in on this since I had the same problem and seem to have come up with an "answer". I closed out of GP and logged back in. Tried the export again with a different file name and was able to import the "new" export with the different file name.

I would export the file again and try to import it right away into the test company to verify that it actually works. Good luck.
