CRM Workflow to send email to a specific email id (internal or external)

Hello,

I have to write a workflow that triggers on Account Name change to send email alert to a specific email id (emailid@domain.com). The email could be internal domain account or external. Now, I am managing with creating a Queue attached to the email. Sending email to the Queue. But I want to send directly to the email id. Is it possible in CRM to do that using workflows?

Do you mean you want to send E-Mails to addresses, which do not belong to an account or contact in CRM?

In my implementation I setup a custom entity called Email addresses, which allows storing of a Name and an email address. You also need to set allow Email Messages in this entities settings.

Then you can send E-Mails to that records, without the need to Create Queues for all that addresses.

One of the following shall answer your question:

if you want to allow users to send email to IDs not captured in CRM as account,contact, leads etc. You need to change system settings by going to>>settings>>administration>>system settings>>email tab>>checkmark yes to 'allow email messages to unresolved recipient'

If you want to send emails via workflow to a specific email ID, which is going to be fixed for a long time. Instead of a queue, create a contact with ID emailid@domain.com and in your workflow, under TO recipient, select this contact
