Report will not print after upgrading GP

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

After upgrading from GP 2010 to GP 2013 we ran into a problem with the check register. When printing payables, the check register report did not print and we received an error:

Undefined Symbol 'F00962D00213Address Code'

I have done some research and found some undefined symbol errors that were similar to this one. I am confused though because we were able to print the check register for payroll without any problems. I have tried rebuilding the reports dictionary, but that did not help. Should I try grabbing an older version of the reports dictionary and importing it? Or are their modification I need to make to the report?

Thanks

    Hi

Not sure off the top of my head about rerunning the check register, but the undefined symbol message will most likely relate to a calculated field in the report.

If you go to Report Writer and bring the report up in there, look at the restrictions, sort order and then fields on the report.

You can also try exporting a copy of the package from your old GP version and importing it into the new if you still have it available.

    Cheers

    Heather

Also, is it possible to run the check register report again so we can see if it works?
